Nan Findlow papers, 1938-1995 and n.d. (bulk 1960-1967).

After holding creative positions at companies like Bamberger's and Macy's, Nan Findlow served as Vice President and Creative Supervisor at JWT ([1955]-1967). Upon leaving JWT she founded her own consulting business specializing in advertising targeted at women. Collection (02-192) (750 items, 1.4 lin. ft.; dated 1938-1995 and n.d.) contains printed materials and files providing an overview of Findlow's career in creative advertising at JWT and other companies, including Macy's. Consists primarily of advertising files containing proofs and print ads, television commercial scripts, reports, and memorandums from campaigns Findlow worked on (especially Scott Paper Company, Pond's, and Prince Matchabelli perfumes). The collection also includes resumes and other biographical information on Findlow; issues of the JWT STAFF NEWS BULLETIN; articles on advertising communication; "Creative Forum" papers; and 3 black-and-white photographs of Findlow. Acquired as part of the John W. Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising & Marketing History.
